Electrical Design Engineer - Cable Harness

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Autonomous vehicles, connectivity and electromotive challenge Scania's Research and Development organisation in a new way and therefore we are facing an exciting transformation towards a flow driven, scaled agile, process as well as new technical challenges.

Role Summary

You will take design lead and be responsible for the electrics in our projects and products regarding electrification in such as Battery Electric Vehicle.
It means close cross functional collaboration with other areas such as mechanical design, production, market and purchasing.
As an electrical designer at Customized Truck Development, you need to analyse customer requests and brake them down into actions.
Usually, this means defining and reusing electric parts and cable harnesses from the existing Scania modular system and/or writing hardware specifications, designing new circuit diagrams, cable harnesses, cable routings, and mounting instructions.
You’ll verify the design during test assembly together with production.
Perform functionality and hardware test by yourself or with the support from our testing departments initiated by you.

· You have an academic education at university level (Bachelor or Master) within electrical, mechatronic, or automotive engineering.

· You have experience in 3D-modeling, preferably in CatiaV5.

· You have experience in 2D-modeling, preferably in Saber ESD or Capital.

· You have working experience of 2 to 5 years in product development.

· Work experience from the automotive industry as a design engineer or from a relevant cross-functional area.

· Professional fluency in English is required, fluency in Swedish is beneficial.

· Driver’s license for a car
